We gained lots of experience as host and chef in our own well-known and succesful French restaurant. After many exciting years we felt it was time for a change and after we sold the resaurant we joined the EatWith community in 2016. Since then we have hosted thousands of guests from more than 70 different countries from all continents. Our guests brought us to the #1 position on TripAdvisor for more than 2 years in a row. We were awarded with the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence 2018 and 2019.
We cook 4 course meals presenting traditional European or Dutch dishes with a contemporary twist. Created from fresh, local and seasonal ingredients, paired with thoughtfully selected wines. Sprinkled with lively conversation and some good background music for a relaxed and entertaining home dinner. Don't expect huge crowds. Our communal table dinners count up to 6 guests max. We want our dinners to be a personal and special experience for everyone. We live in a cozy, modern decorated apartment in the heart of Amsterdam, overlooking the oldest canal in the city. Located less than 5 min. walking distance from the Dam and the Central Station. Easy to reach from any place in Amsterdam.
“Martine and Olav genuinely offer something different - wonderful food, a taste of Dutch cuisine and culture, entertaining conversation and an altogether memorable experience.”
This is what one of our guests said, summarizing her personal experience at Martine’s Table. So dear traveler, have dinner with us at our communal table, located at one of the oldest canals in Amsterdam. Admire the canal view, watch the boats pass by. Share stories, listen to the music (or play a little bit yourself). There are no strangers, just friends you haven’t yet met, that's how we think about it.
